Trauma and its Relevance to Health Care, Part 1: Primary Care and Trauma: Prevalence, Impact, and Implications for Practice

Those who work in primary care settings interact on a daily basis with patients who have experienced violence, abuse, neglect, and adversity—yet they often may be unaware of their patients’ experiences and the related health impacts. This webinar provides prevalence data and information on health risks and impacts of trauma as well as practical information on how to align health care practices with key principles of a trauma-informed approach. This webinar also sets the stage for the second two webinars in the three-part series.
