A SAMHSA sponsored webinar presented by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in partnership with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) took place Friday, July 12, 2024 from 1:30pm-3:00pm Eastern Time titled “CCBHC’s Synergies with Crisis Systems”.
Description: As our nation’s crisis systems continue to evolve and grow over time, CCBHC’s can play a critical and efficient role in serving communities and individuals in need across the crisis continuum. This webinar discussed how prospective, new and seasoned CCBHC’s can maximize the implementation of crisis response and follow-up services with panelists from the National Council, a former state commissioner from NASMHPD and the CEO of one of the nation’s largest CCBHC’s. An upcoming publication focused on these synergies and best practice frameworks from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Medical Director’s Institute will also be discussed.

- Participants better understood the importance of peer support in the CCBHC model
- Participants understood the functions and capabilities that CCBHC's can provide in a broader community crisis system
