Trauma and its Relevance to Health Care, Part 3: Developing Trauma-Informed Primary Care Settings
Increasingly, primary care and integrated health care organizations and systems are exploring ways to make their services more responsive to their patients who have experienced trauma. This webinar will provide an overview on implementing a trauma-informed approach in primary care as an organizational change strategy designed to improve the way health care settings operate and engage with staff and patients. Participants learn about the 10 domains of trauma-informed organizational change described in SAMHSA’s Concept of Trauma and Guidance for a Trauma-Informed Approach, and hear from health care administrators and change agents on strategies they have used to promote trauma-informed, culturally relevant organizational change.
